These SAFLIP coin flips are designed for storing and displaying your coins safely. They have been specially sourced to both keep your coins safe and make them easy to view.
Each double pocket coin flip measures 2 inches by 2 inches, and holds any size Australian coin.
The coin slides into one side and then the flip is folded in half. Additionally, a piece of paper with the coin information can be slid into the other side of the flip.
Made from Biaxially-oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate (boPET) and used in museums around the world (no PVC).
Materials information:
The coin flips are made from Biaxially-oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate (also known as boPET), which is a stable, archival quality plastic commonly referred to as Mylar. It contains no oils or chemicals that will react with metals and once the flip is folded over will allow very little air into the pocket. This minimises the possibility of the coin becoming tarnished.
Why no PVC? Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the most common type of plastic that is soft and pliable. However, PVC contains chemicals that off-gasses (that ‘plastic smell’) and reacts with metals causing coins to tarnish or stick to the plastic. It’s not suitable for storage of your coin collection.
Coins and pages as shown are for illustrative purposes only, they are not included in the listing.
