This coin storage kit includes all the things you need for storing and displaying your coins. The elements in this kit have been specially sourced to both keep your coins safe and make them easy to view.
The kit includes 275 pre-printed inserts that sit with your coins showing the coin names and details. These inserts slide into the coin flips and include all Australian special design coins released into circulation since 1966. There are also some additional blank inserts where you can add details of other coins in your collection (such as errors).
The folder, sleeves and coin-flips all use materials that help keep your coins safe. In addition, the folder has a closing lid to protect it from dust. This kit is designed to work with the Pirate Guide to Collecting Australian Coins, which helps you to identify coins in circulation and related errors.

Materials information:
Leaving coins stacked together, in the open air, or in open cardboard cases will cause them to tarnish as contaminants in the air will react with the metals in coins. There is also the risk of physical damage.
Why no PVC? Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the most common type of plastic that is soft and pliable. However, PVC contains chemicals that off-gasses (that ‘plastic smell’) and reacts with metals causing coins to tarnish or stick to the plastic. It’s not suitable for storage of your coin collection.
The coin sleeves are made with Polypropylene, which is a durable soft plastic. It is acid free and archival quality.
The coin flips are made from Biaxially-oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate (also known as boPET), which is a stable, archival quality plastic commonly referred to as Mylar. It contains no oils or chemicals that will react with metals and once the flip is folded over will allow very little air into the pocket. This minimises the possibility of the coin becoming tarnished.
